“LAUGHTER FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS”
      PUBLIC PERFORMANCE BY POPULAR DEMAND
Quad Cities, IL
May 12, 2010

“ Laughter is the best medicine.”

And when it comes to America’s wounded veterans,
only the best will do.

The U.S. Army has recognized the value of
a total holistic  approach to helping soldiers who return
with war injuries—treating not just the physical, but also
emotional, mental and psychological needs through
the Community Based Warriors in Transition Unit, pioneered in 2004 in Wisconsin and expanded at the Rock Island Arsenal.

“Laughter for Wounded Warriors” came from the
personal experience of Rosie Sailor, veteran of 32 years in
standup comedy and a military wife herself.

“My husband was air-evacuated out of Iraq and we
knew the value of humor in helping to heal. This was a
natural result of  my many years doing standup on TV and in clubs.”

Sailor has assembled an ever-growing list of comics, magicians and entertainers of national standing who volunteer their time for the “Laughter for Wounded Warriors” shows-- already enjoyed by thousands of military families both live and
on DVD.

Performers volunteer their time to the program. You can find out who’s playing which show at the website

“Laughter for Wounded Warriors” performances are traditionally closed to the public,  but coming
Friday May 21 at the Best Western Steeplegate in Davenport, “Laughter for Wounded Warriors” will be doing three shows open to the public by popular demand:  at 7 pm, 8:30 pm and 10:30 pm.

Tickets are $20, with 100% of the money raised
at these three shows going to continue and expand the “Laughter for Wounded Warriors” effort.

After the May 21st show, the “Wounded Warriors” troupe
have been asked to take their show to  military audiences
in  Virginia Beach, Virginia on June 10th.

They have already played to soldiers and their families in
Illinois, Iowa and Michigan.

Sailor says:  “Our only agenda is to make them laugh and inspire them.”
